Thursday 2nd March – walk **** Trimley circuit – Sunny Periods.

With Mag having to visit the dentist for the second time since her cycle accident at 10.40, it gave me enough time to do my exercises before driving over to Walton near Felixstowe. Mag’s face has healed really well but her teeth and arm are still not great, with the dentist over we drove to Trimley St Mary to park by the twin churches so we could go on a walk to enjoy the lovely sunny weather, we still have a chilly wind from the north but it was nice to be out. We walk around the grave yard first so Mag could see the daffs and snowdrops and amazing they looked, better than yesterday with the sky being blue:) We then crossed the busy High Road before turning down Gunn Lane leading to the huge green footbridge, we think it is the first time we have walked over as we are usually on our bikes. Across the field to Grimston Lane with several large trees growing in the middle of the crops, mainly winter wheat coming on well. We turn left and do the last section of the tree lined path so we can get a glimpse of the River Orwell in the distance. We walk down the hill to the old water pump house and past the small fishing lakes. It was a hive of activity in the fields with tractors working. We continue through the new Wimpey estate and the new houses look OK and along the High road back to the van, getting knackered now after covering 3.40 miles. Then home for lunch before a quick trip to Lidl to stock up as the Grandson Arlo is coming up for the weekend:)
